Dungy reviewed and recommended my book A Fine Canopy. My special gratitude to her for putting A Fine Canopy in such fine company. I have admired Camille’s work since 2009 when her anthology Black Nature first crossed my path. (And yes, I chalked a fragment from her poem “What to Eat, What to Drink, and What to Leave for Poison” first thing this morning, my penultimate offering for this year’s poetry month.
